Brainstorm About Immersion Assembly
Immersion Assembly Term 2
Yesterday the 2nd of may we had an Immersion assembly which was fun, our topic for Term 2 is "As I See It". Team 1 was talking about their favorite things. Mrs George really likes chocolate and sweets, Mrs Lal loves soccer. Mrs Dwyers really loves ballet because she was once really fit, Mrs Wild really loves her class and her students.
Team 2 were all about seasons they showed us a video of each teacher in Team 2 and showed whose class is doing which season. Miss Szymanik was all about summer and who doesn’t love Summer. Mrs Nalder’s class was about Spring just like the season now, Miss Tumahai was about Autumn and leaves everywhere. Mrs Eadie was all about cold winter snowflakes and snowmen.
Team 3 was about Architectures and also had a video of them planning and building their designs. Architecture is the art of designing and building everything and to plan. They will be making things using art skills.
Team 4 had a video about superheroes and saving the school and beating Mr Evil Bear Baxendine. There was a team of superheroes named the Teacher Vengers. Team 4 will be creating their own comic books or either on digital network.
Last but not least Team 5 which is my team were all about the 4 wakas and colors. The color red represents Te Au Rere, the color Green Represents Hokulea and Hine Moana represents the color blue. Yellow which is my team Hikianalia. We will be talking about art on the boats and things we can do on to put art to represent the boat.
My favorite of all is Team 4 because they get to create comic books and make movies.

A = Aspiration, I = Inspiration, M = Motivation
Today we had two wonderful inspirational speakers who put their time on the line to come and speak to us. The first person was Arizona who was great, she has a wonderful family who loves sport. The second person was Kenese or Genesis who talked about how he grew up in his childhood, he grew up exactly like me with a single mother. Andrew Patterson was the person that made all this happen.
Arizona inspired me today to have great confidence and to take the right opportunity when it comes. She talked about setting goals and gave us some great points in life. The first point was work hard in your work and at home to your parents. The second point was to share happiness with everyone and yourself. The third point was to dream big like accomplishing your goals and dreams no matter what.
Our second speaker Kenese, really inspired me how he grew up which was really sad, he talked about his childhood and how he grew up and also talked about taking opportunity when it comes. He was born in Samoa with a twin brother who passed away, he was raised with a single mother. He told us to take the right path and don’t follow the wrong people. Him and his mother came to New Zealand because his mother wanted him to have better education. It took him years to find his path but he made it.
I had so much passion from both of them today because I grew up like one of the speakers. I grew up with a single mother who raised me and fed me and kept me wealthy. Me and my brothers didn't know she was having an affair with another man which was great. Ever since he came in my life my mum has been the happiest woman in the world. Thank you so much to Andrew Patterson for putting this event together.

FiaFia This Term
For the past 6 weeks I have been put in to my third choice group which is the rock band. We had to choose three choices, so I chose Samoan group, Circus Circus, and The Rock Band. We have been learning our instruments in our group, first I was going to play the electric guitar but one of the band members didn't turn up.
He was Emmanuel and he played bass so I took his part. We have been practicing for quite a while and our group is really good. Today I am a bit nervous because were having a run through everything. My group is on second and we are still looking for a name.
If you have a rock band name please comment and tell me thank you.

De-construct/Re-crafting
When George was sitting on the dock, it felt like something was tugging on the fishing rod. His hands were sore and it started looking rash, so he tried pulling it up but it felt like he was being pulled in like a octopus’s tentacles dragging you in the water. George didn't know what to do. So then George tried yelling for help. Later on about 3-4 minutes later George saw something far away in the ocean, it was as small as an ant. It came closer and closer. As soon as he saw two people canoeing he started to vociferate to get the canoes attention. They both looked around as slow as a tortoise until they spotted him. The both of them canoed fast towards him. The next thing you notice is strangers extracting George from the water. George couldn't thank them enough.
