Maasai Tribe

In Room 4 at Pt England I have been learning about the Maasai people. I've learnt that they live in between Kenya and Tanzania. Me and my buddy's Maroroa and Isaiah wrote about How they live by Maroroa, how they eat by Isaiah and the clothing by me. So thanks to the teacher Ms Hockly for teaching about them.

Merry Christmas

This year I am looking forward to Christmas because I get to spend my holiday with my grandparents. I can not wait until I see them and see what I get this year. 3 years ago I got heaps of presents, but my favourite was the remote control car from uncle. This whole year I've only met them once which was last holiday and it was quite boring.

I hope I can decorate the tree and get some present for my other family in the house. I feel so sad because my mum can't be there on Christmas because she is going to Samoa. The other boring thing is I don't even get to be there for her birthday which is 5 days before Christmas.

I just wish my mother could skip Samoa and come to Christchurch but it's her choice. I just wish everyone a happy Christmas with your family's.

The Warehouse

This Morning on Wednesday the 2nd of December we had the Warehouse to come and visit us at Pt England School. We saw them sitting down and we greeted them with a mihi and a wonderful waiata. Next they came to the front and talked about our community and the variety.

They helped us out with the year 8 Leader ship camp and donated $2000 for the camp, the buses were about $250 each so we were really thankful for them to come along. They had a surprise for us which was the plastic bag thing and we made $1,094.46 which was awesome. They had another surprise for Mr Burt which he didn't know, the warehouse entered the community hero but they didn't get the big award. They did win a different award which Mr Burt won and had a $500 gift card.

Later on we had a speech from Josephine to thank the warehouse for every thing they have done for us at Pt England School. So we ended with a big thank you waiata for them.
