Anzac

On Anzac day I went to the Anzac commemoration and I saw all got to put my poppy in my great great great great grandpa’s cross. My family was crying and it was really sad. We saw some people dressed in army uniform. I was dressed in a suit and with a poppy. My older sisters were dressed in a dress,

What I thought about Anzac was sad, horrifying, horrible and most importantly I was disconsolate. Same as my family, too bad I didn't make it to a dawn parade ceremony and what I done when I got home I went straight to sleep. Then before all of that it was sad looking at all those crosses and it was just sad.

I thought about what happened and I dreamed of being in the army.
My great great great great grandpa had a good experience and spend his life with the other army guys fighting for our lives. I just hope that all their souls stay with us and may they be blessed with joy.

Polyfest Part 2

Polyfest......

On Friday the 20th of march, Pt England Team 5 went to polyfest and had so many cool things. A couple of hours later we got slit into our groups and I was in Lorenzo’s group. We were travelling around polyfest and we found this place that if you win this park the car game you get a treat.

Later on Me and Tevita won 3 times so we gave two away and kept one for ourselves. After that we went walking around and I won this pretty cool fire man t-shirt from the fire department. We also got these pasifika proud bands and punja crackers.

Later on we went to the opposite side of where we were and we only got to watch half of Avondale High School perform. So after that we were walking back and we saw Tyson and Mr wiseman looking for us. Then Tyson said “you’s were supposed to come at quarter to 2.00, so our leader said “oh I thought it was quarter past 2.00.

So we ran to where all the others were and we were so embarrassed.  We had sore legs waiting for the bus and we were frying like sausages, so finally the bus came and we got inside and we sat down and relaxed.

Polyfest

Polyfest,

Yesterday the 19th of March we went to the polyfest and we had so much fun. We won a lot of bands and we got a goody bag with glasses, caps, sunscreen, and a lollipop. It was so awesome that we even got a photo from the Flava and I went into the draw for a bike.

After that we heard that there was a dancing competition on the Niue group stage, but it wasn't the real Niue groups. I can only remember the name Sarah,  Rotorua, and St Carths.

The interesting thing I found was that we had fun and Mr Burt can trust us if we are allowed to go to different places for our school trip.

Polyfest

                                           Polyfest......

Kia Ora, talofa lava, malo e lelei, fakaalofa lahi atu, kia orana, bula vinaka, namaste and greetings!!  It’s Pasifika week in Aotearoa, this means it’s a week long celebration of all things Pacific.  This includes the birthday dance we had with Mrs Tele’a!  Part of the celebration is the Polyfest!  This Thursday we are planning to travel to Manukau to take part in some workshops and then visit stages.  The two stages we will be visiting will be the Maori and Diversity stages.  Did you know that this event - the Polyfest celebrates 40 years since it’s beginning?  Awesome isn't it!

Young people and family’s love to dance at competitions and the Polyfest. Man I wish I was a good dancer to join the Samoan stage and be a professional sports player. People love to participate in the Polyfest for their schools, and families but for themselves to.

These are what dancers had to do before they joined the Polyfest they had to have good behavior, good dancers, they had to learn, and they had to practice and practice and practice. People who have never made a mistake has never tried something new because everybody tries.

Our cultural groups promote to get in higher ranks to win all there dancing groups and competitions. They would get higher levels and if they think that's the level they should stop that’s a good position for young and old.

My First Day Back At School

Hi this is a new year in a new class, and it feels nice to meet my new teacher Mr Wiseman.
I am a year 7 and I am in class 1, Everybody is like a brother and sister to me.
There are different rules here and much more better and I wish yous all a happy new year.
We played games like silent ball and stuff like that, we had so much fun.

There were other teachers like Miss Paeto, Mrs Clark, Mrs Telea, and Mrs Moala.
Its cool to be in a class with year eights , and sevens. That's what I did
on my first day of school.

My Goals For This Year

* Try to move a level to another step and to keep trying

* Try to put all I can into my school work and classes

* Finish Work on time

* To respect my older people and to listen to what they say

* Try to get better at every sport I join and do my best

* Is to be honest and to tell the truth if I do something bad

but to have fun and relax and to enjoy PES
