This Morning on Wednesday the 2nd of December we had the Warehouse to come and visit us at Pt England School. We saw them sitting down and we greeted them with a mihi and a wonderful waiata. Next they came to the front and talked about our community and the variety.
They helped us out with the year 8 Leader ship camp and donated $2000 for the camp, the buses were about $250 each so we were really thankful for them to come along. They had a surprise for us which was the plastic bag thing and we made $1,094.46 which was awesome. They had another surprise for Mr Burt which he didn't know, the warehouse entered the community hero but they didn't get the big award. They did win a different award which Mr Burt won and had a $500 gift card.
Later on we had a speech from Josephine to thank the warehouse for every thing they have done for us at Pt England School. So we ended with a big thank you waiata for them.
This blog is a record of my learning during the years I was at Pt England School through to Tamaki College.

Cardboard Expedition
All the phones were Acers which was a new brand, they were all connected to one iPad. The reason why they call it cardboard expedition because they create it out of cardboard. You would put the cardboard covering your eyes, and as you rotate the camera would move around so you could see the back and front.
We didn't use them for fun we would have to learn something about it and how it works. We would try and spot animals and creatures and also sea animals like the python, Beatles, sting rays and more. It feels so realistic and it feels like a great experience, we went to space and I could see the sun, earth, and mars and also the moon.
What was so interesting was it actually felt like a real experience exploring how it would feel like around the wild. My age group which are the year 7s went first looking in it because the year 8s went tech. Maybe you can have a try and see what it feels like.

Cindy In Da House
The past 4,5 weeks I have auditioned to be in our dancing, singing, and acting but I chose to audition for dancing. I ain't a good dancer but it will be fun to do something besides sports before I go to Christchurch,so yeah it will be fun to be in the production and to support Pt england so as my family. Maybe you's could come to Pt England School Glenn Innes and buy you a ticket for $5 each before they are all booked and sold. The days that the performances are on are Tuesday 22nd 6.30-8.00,Wendsday 23 6.30-8.00, and Thursday the 24th of September from 6.30-8.00.
This has been a great experience in how much effort actors and dancers put in and I mean a 5 minute thing takes like an half an hour thing or even an 1 hour thing so it is really really hard effort.
Please leave some comments.

Cell Phones Should Be Banned At School
Cell Phones Should Be Banned From School:
I agree because people bring expensive things to school and most of the time their things get stolen. People say they bring phones for emergency, but most play times I see people taking photos on Facebook and on games.
It would be great to ban all cell phones from school because it wastes your time from learning and stuff. Kids have lots of time to play on their phones after school at home instead of mucking around. Children just waste their time on their phones doing different things that's not part of school work.
People are just idiots bringing their phones to school, children come to school to learn and study to find a better education but they don’t come to school to play on their cell phones.
Cell Phones Do Not Help Children Learn.

Future Aspirations
Today we heard from the future legend Marcus Winter and Louis Gordon - Latty and also their boss Andrew Patterson. Marcus Winter is known as the sandman, when i mean sandman i mean an artist with sand, and Louis is known as an good technology student which experiences different things. The part that stood me out of Louis was if you would have a sports game and you had a special highlight in that game and you could just keep watching it over and over every time, because you cant play and video at the same time. Well he invented an iPad app which you could video you play a game and see your highlight, and when the game is over it automatically stops.
The thing that stood out of Marcus was he was an artist using sand and he started from the streets to the queens ship and he made over about $12,000 dollars and he became really famous. He was an intelligent guy and artist.
They also said that people will forget what you said what you did but they will never forget how proud you made them feel.

They got bounced from different jobs but they never gave up and they kept looking and looking until they found on and their word to us was never give up. When you get bounced bounce them back, for an example if you try something and it doesn't work out and someone says haha or something like that bounce back.
